Paint with purpose.
Create with joy.
Spark your holiday spirit.

Who’s Leading the Magic?

This workshop is guided by the incredible Jennifer Dudley of Intentional Evolution Farm, with special guests:

Miss Michy and May of Lotts of Luv DC are bringing the STEM meets GLOW station for extra fun!

And the Sip of the Month?

Come find out! We’re revealing our new signature glowing mocktail at the event, and yes, it’s going to be delicious.

Tickets are limited — reserve your spot now and give your child a creative winter memory they’ll never forget.

SOLD, NOT TOLD: Solo Art Show by Nic At Nite

"Sold, Not Told" is a powerful exhibition that shines a light on the stories often silenced in the exchange of culture and commerce. Through vibrant visuals and thought-provoking symbolism, the show explores what gets lost when identities, histories, and creativity are commodified — and what voices still rise in defiance. Bold, unflinching, and deeply resonant, "Sold, Not Told" invites audiences to experience art that challenges, questions, and speaks truths that can’t be bought.

Paola Calderón - De Canela | Opening Reception

Paola Calderón - De Canela | Opening Reception

Spanning fifteen years of image-making, Paola Calderón’s work is a testament to the ways photography can hold memory, place, and identity. Born in Washington, D.C. and grounded in the cultural roots of El Salvador and Guatemala, Calderón approaches her practice as both documentation and devotion—an ongoing dialogue with the landscapes, textures, and light that define Latin America.

This exhibition gathers photographs captured between 2010 and 2025 across Cuba, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Brazil. Each image reveals Calderón’s sensitivity to the quiet power of the everyday—the warmth of light, the vibrancy of color, the tactile presence of nature. Her lens offers more than observation; it is an invitation into a lived experience of longing and belonging.

What emerges is both a celebration and an evolution: the vision of a young artist searching for home, maturing into a body of work that honors memory while embracing growth. Calderón’s images remind us that home is not only a place, but also a feeling carried within us, alive in our connections to culture, family, and land.

Aesthetics of Care: Mutual Aid + Organizational Models in Queer Nightlife +

Aesthetics of Care is a hybrid teach-in + print workshop, exploring mutual aid models in black queer nightlife and DIY culture - both in history and in contemporary culture. How have black and queer people within underground subcultures used aesthetics to put mutual aid praxis into tangible practices? What are the factors that made it possible for these models to work and how can we build on them in our present ecosystems? This workshop muses on the famous Toni Cade Bambara quote “The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible”, as well as Catherine Fairbanks’ research on aesthetics of empathy.

Facilitated by Hermetic State.

Opening Reception "MAY SAFE ARMS FIND ME"
Aug

Opening Reception "MAY SAFE ARMS FIND ME"

“Inhale: The world reveals itself | Exhale: But I resist isolation.” - Cole Arthur Riley

The colonial world demands that we disconnect from ourselves and one another in order to perpetuate our oppression, so it is important to know that community is key to liberation. In this show, viewers will see that we can find safe arms in ourselves, our lovers, our neighbors, our blood + chosen families, the land, and the divine. With the resonant paintings, photography, sculpture, and film on display, consider where you find safety so that your tank is full enough for the journey towards liberation.

Aiming to highlight marginalized voices and work that centers community in either process or product, this exhibition features artwork from De’ja Butler, Edom Taddesse, Elile Kebede, Greta Chapin Mcgill, Halo Noelle, Miguel Davis Jr., Nate G., nwaọ, Sebastian Harrigan-Labarca, Shemaya Bridgewater, Sierra Morris, Susan Jarvis Ragland, Tamia Edmonds, and more.

Through this exhibition, curators Kiara Danae Mangum and Jalisa Ifádùńní OH invite us to reflect: How do our senses guide us to safety? What does collective care look, taste, smell, sound and feel like? How do we return to ourselves so we can return to one another? How can returning to one another bring us back to ourselves?

Yours in love & struggle,
Kiara Danae Mangum + Jalisa Ifádùńní OH
