Join AYAs founder and visionary, Saffy o as they lead us on a journey of self discovery and radical acceptance. Come prepared for a selectively curated healing and nourishing experience to activate all the senses and ground us in the present moment. EXPAND will open with an hour for mixing, mingling, and COVID testing. Melanie will lead us in a sound bowl meditation followed by a yoga flow guided by Fela. There will be complimentary snacks, with food available for purchase from Nekhnaa by Mar/Hakeem. After the dinner break, we will move into the poetry readings by Halo, El, Aubrey, and saffy, ending with a poetry workshop led by saffy with space for attendees to share their newly written pieces. This event is fully mobility aid accesible. There are two gender neutral bathrooms on site.

Air purification will be provided by Clean Air Solidarity (DC) and masks will be provided by Mask Bloc DC. There will also be face shields provided.
Masks are required, and COVID testing before is strongly suggested. There will be time before the programming begins for folks to test with an unrestricted supply of rapid tests.
This event is open to all ages and backgrounds, with Black folks being centered in this space. There is a cap of 50 people. There are 40 tickets for sale and 10 tickets that can be donated for Black Trans folks of any age to attend for free.
