About the Installation:

“Assembly Required: A Listening Lounge” takes us on a journey in aural storytelling through analog fellowship. The installation is a pop-up listening cafe envisioned by Emil King of Garage Kissa - an iterative space transformation exploring social cohesion through intentional collective listening, lounging, co-working and film screenings. Designed to foster connection and the exchange of ideas via the medium of music, rotating DJ’s, sound curators and guests themselves will help listeners travel a myriad of musical landscapes. The show features a vintage high-fidelity audio, furnishings, books, and analog audio media from the Garage Kissa collection, with guest coffee, tea, vinyl and ephemera vendors. Bring your own records during “Open Gallery” for listening by appointment.
